Come be a part of a personal and unique Japanese dining experience. Japan Society of New Orleans invites you to join them for dinner at Shogun Japanese Restaurant in Metairie on Tuesday, October 15 at 6:30pm. We will be eating in the Robata section of the restaurant, joined by Japanese chef Yua who will prepare a special Japanese dinner for us.
Robata refers to the way the food is prepared, mostly cooked over a grill. This style of cooking is very popular in Japanese at izakaya, or Japanese bars. Many dishes included in the dinner will feature this style of cooking.
The dinner will include:
- Seafood Dumpling
- Scallop Salsa
- Stuffed Shishito Pepper
- Lotus Cake
- Marinated Jelly Fish
- Chicken and Green Onion Skewer
- Chicken Skin Skewer
- Steamed Snapper
- Dessert: Japanese Custard Pudding
*Dinner will come with white rice, soup and green tea. Attendees may order any other beverages at their expense.
